08 g37 wont start need some help

Hey fellas dont post here much mostly read. I having some trouble with my 08 37s. For the past 3 months or so every so often when i would start my car it would turn over motor would fire up and die almost instantly. Now this didnt happen every time. Figured id keep my eye on it and see what comes about it. Now this morning i walk out to start my car its trying to turn over but wont start. Havent pulled any codes from it as my scanner does not work on foreign vehicles. Where should i start? Map sensor gone bad? What can i do? Anything i should be looking for? Car has 30k

Thanks in advance

Have you tried? Warranty

Of did that run out for your vehicle?

This issue happened with my old civic, the distributor crapped.
I had to replace the ignitor and other components inside it.
Essentially would crank but not fire and when did fire died shortly after.

Also had "main relay" issues but that is another story.

Check for 3 things, air, fuel, and spark.

fuel and spark are easy

Fuel: crank engine and press gas pedal, then stop and pull out spark plug to see if it is covered in fuel, if so, good.. you got fuel.

Spark: put spark plug on end of spark plug wire and have someone crank the engine while you hold and look at the spark plug connected to wire, should see a spark, if so... you got spark

Air: could be map sensor, check throttle body and see butterfly valve is working properly, with newer cars O2 sensors could be messed up and not giving proper air fuel mixture

I think that is how you check the basic 3 things.

If anyone thinks I am wrong on any part please post up and correct me so I can learn as well. I learned all this by driving an old unreliable car, was poor college student. Oh the good old days.

ive seen this with some of the g models, the tb sticks, usually the drivers side one, if it keeps stalling whiel starting, just tap the drivers side tb with a hammer lightly and try to restart, if start, thats your prob, if it stalls again try the pass side. if ths does not fix it it could be multiple things, the tb are covered under power train warry, 6yrs 70k

I know it's a year later but did you ever solve your "car won't start" issue up above? I am having the exact same issue with my 08 G37s and I have 62kms on it. I hit the push button and it cranks but then dies right away and the dash illuminates with all the errors - it takes 4 button starts to start without stalling out... Took it to dealership and they checked it for 2 days and reprogrammed ECU - said it could have been air fuel ratio problem and they couldn't pull any codes from my car - anyways 1 day later it's happening again for me. It's really starting to **** me off. Any advice or lessons learned?
