Auto Transmission

I live in Houston and here lately it has been a little cold for my car I think. When I get up in the morning I get right in my car start it up and go. The shift from 1st to 2nd feels like a little slip. Anyone else who drives in the cold do you have this problem or is this natural? Should I let my car warm up a little? Oh and I don't drive fast on first start up.

I let my car warm up until it's gets way under the 1k even if I'm late to go somewhere. Never had any unfamiliar problems with my car

Even when it's 100 outside you should always let your car warm up. Especially more so when it's cold. I usually let mine warm up at least 2 full minutes all the time, maybe 3 when it's cold.

Boxer, I have a G37Xs , I've had the transmission TSB performed and have
driven my car in every mode...manual, full auto and extensively in snow mode
this week....also in temperature ranges from over 100 to -7 this week.

I can honestly say that Nissan's 7AT is the "quirkiest" and most unpredictable
auto transmission I've ever driven. Just when I think I've seen it do everything
"wierd" it can possibly do....it then does something it has never done before.
It made some wierd noises (slightly clunky) in the cold, but it seems to
work well.... It constantly seems to "hunt for the right gear" in braking and
cornering/accelleration situations that just catch me off guard...It seems
to work just fine, but it is not nearly as refined as other 7 and 8 speed
auto transmissions I've driven.....Nissan and or the aftermarket tuners
have some work to do.

I have the 2009 and I always let the engine warm up for atleast 3 mins. I do feel a little jerk sometimes. Had the TSB performed but its still doing it. Will get it checked again. But always good to have the engine warm up. Engine lasts longer.

I'm surprised people idle their engines for that long. The best way to warm an engine is to idle for 30-45 seconds, then drive it smoothly and light-footed, keeping the revs under 3k.
