Illuminated Kick Plate Trouble

Hoping someone can help!

New G37. Had dealer install illuminated kick plates. Looked like there was moisture or water under the clear plastic (between clear plastic and black backing).

Waited 2 weeks -did not go away. Dealer replaced with new set.

Today I noticed a bit of the same again on both for the first time since they replaced them.

Anyhow had it happen to them? Help!

Shouldn't happen if installed correctly. They don't have any moisture below when installed via factory. Take it back and if they can't get it right, just have them put your standard ones on and get your money back.

Same thing happened to me, I'm on my third replacement set. I did check some other new cars on the lot, and most had that same "moisture" look.

I had the same problem on my passenger side.

I just took a cloth and rubbed it right out.

Good as new.

So it is moisture or trapped air? --- BooSa37 let me know if you were able to get rid of it by rubbing it out with a cloth. I just make sure it is non-abrasive....if any light scratches happen, try the Meguiar product for buffing plastic headlight covers...

Dealer changed them out 2 more times. Finally got 'em right. No more issues. They said it's a manufacturing defect...
