93 is down to $3.05 here! By this weekend I will be paying under $3 for premium. Woo hoo!

 

$3.55 here in SoCal for crappy ol' 91... Still high but the best we've seen in a LOOONG while...

 

i feel sorry for the people who lives in cali. overpriced, overrated.

 

^^^^I think the higher prices are due to the higher emissions standards we have.

 

still, the price of housing is the biggest rip off on the face of the earth. with 500k here, you can buy a freaking mini mansion.

 

its funny, gas is gas in the US. Most places all share a common pipeline, and the gas is all stored in the same tanks before it gets to terminals. then you have common tank trucks who transport it. besides additive being different, quality control at name brands stations makes a big difference. I have worked for three major oil companines. 2 out of the three check stations and run test to make sure the end product for us is good.

if its not a name brand station you can bet they dont have any quality control, even if they have filters, they may not change them enough. "rust, water, sludge, transmix, contam" stick with the majors. I doubt supermarkets have a gas quality control department. but I could be wrong

 

Here in Jersey I just paid 3.03 for 93 at shell... The crappy little places are down to 2.89 for 93

I try to use shell most of the time, in the streetbike and the G... I always wonder the same thing bout the little hole in the wall gas stations 1 pump and don't take credit cards...

I noticed the same thing, thought we had 20 gallon tanks. gas light was on and only took 15 gallons...
