G37 high beam solenoid wire

Good day,

2010 g37x sedan. I swapped my switchback headlights that were on the vehicle when I purchased it for stock headlights with blacked out housings on marketplace.

I didn't realize and prev owner of these headlights neglected to tell me he chopped up the wiring to get halos working.

I believe I am missing the connector/wire for the high beam solenoids as my high beams do not work. When car is off and switch is flicker, the lights turn on, blue light on dash works but high beam itself does not.

Is there somewhere I can find the high beam solenoid wire connector/wire itself or somehow find the name/# of the connector style so I can make one or source one from Amazon or AliExpress?

Thanks!

Attached are from the FSM. Pin 7 at each headlight connector should be for the Hi Beam Solenoid (shade actuator):

However, are you sure that the previous owner, who monkeyed with the headlamps in the first place, did not "disable" (intentionally or otherwise) the high beam solenoids? It is odd that both sides would be affected especially since, I assume, your high beams worked correctly on your previous units?

Hi

Yeah the previous owner messed with them to install halos and wanted to disable DRLs or something.

When I had the headlights apart I did not see a white harness going to the solenoids. That's the wire im looking for.

Not the combination harness which is all there I believe.

You're talking about the wires that go from the connector to the solenoid(s) inside the lamp assemblies?

You'll likely have to rig something up. Internal components are not available save for a junkyard donor.

Yes exactly. Is there a way to get the connector style/number from somewhere?

I want to know the style/shape of connector so I can order something online or try to source something. Unfortunately junkyards are far and few where I live

I was going to say, 2010 already had the moving internal reflector which simply changed the pattern of the lamp when high beams were requested. If your new "stock" lamps are blackout with halos and no HIDs then I would guess the moving reflector mechanism is no longer present and you'll need to do some wiring mods.
Your FSM is here:

scroll down below the "viewing window" and you can "click here. to download a copy".

Unfortunately, there no published tech documents regarding the internals of the headlight assemblies that I have ever come across.

If pieces are "missing," ie. projectors, shades, etc. then your options become very limited. We do not know what the previous owner screwed around with nor do we know what you have on hand so it will be difficult for us to "piece things together." Once in a while used, "for parts," pieces come up on eBay but they are hard to come by.

Point is, you are going to have to tackle this using "out of the box methods." For the high beams, assuming the shades and solenoids are intact, just come up with your own wiring solution- it is only 2 wires (per side)- from the solenoid to the harness connector. If the HID components are missing, however, then its a new ballgame entirely.
