I recently had to replace the backup camera on my G37. I bought the replacement used, and everything works fine. Although, I see that there is an extra wire that i cannot find the placement location for. Any Ideas? Its the green wire in the photo, I currently have it taped off.
Safe to say that the camera you bought was not from a G37- likely a M37 or a Q model. More than likely that is the "shield" wire which keeps the video signal "clean."
As long as the camera and image work as intended then just tuck that wire away and call it a day. However, if, after time, the image gets "distorted" then you might have to connect that wire to ground.
