Will my 18" wheels require spacers with Akebono Calipers

I scored a set of Akebone calipers and OEM rotors for my 13 37X sedan.
I am prepping the parts for install and it occurs to me that my 18" factory wheels may not have sufficient offset to clear the rotors.
Rudimentary measurement reveals it's gonna be close.
I'd rather space the wheels than replace them.
Can anybody tell from the specific model of wheel whether I'm going to have an interference issue?
Thanks either way.

refinished, waiting for black Akebono decals

If you mean OEM, thenany wheels that came with a model/trim that had BBK from the factory.

If aftermarket, my litmus test would be to check if the wheels fit a sport model sedan (RWD only) or coupe. Since these cars came with BBK, then they should fit your car with retrofitted BBK just fine.

There are a bunch of threads on this topic if you search around a little bit.

I measured today and they're not gunna fit without spacers.
Considering my options now.
I've resisted buying wheels but these Niche M157 19 x 8.5s look pretty nice and are reasonably priced. I'll need new tires, though, so it's a $2k cost I had not factored in.

Thanks.

The 18" Duckfeet fit without using spacers not sure why these wouldn't.

I have some 5mm spacers on the way.
I plan on installing one of the Akebono calipers then trying the wheel with two 5mm spacers. By my measurement there's about 5mm too little clearance without spacers, so I should be able to measure the clearance with 10mm of spacer to determine where to go from there.
Z1 sells 10mm spacers with pilots to center the wheels and 10mm longer studs if I need that much.

For the Sedan, you need to have the Sport 6MT to include the Akebono big brakes. They are nearly the size of my StopTechs, so for an 18" wheel the selection (without spaces) is actually extremely limited - so far about two dozen wheels from every manufacturer I can check. The spokes have a nearly 90 degree tight arc between the hub of the wheel and the outer rim. Unless the wheels came on a Sport I would not expect them to fit.

Not sure about the coupes but I would expect the same case in general.

Good luck,

Rick

I had to get the square duck feet to clear my BBK. They clear without issue, no spacers. Using the 18x7.5 OEM Enkei Duckfeet. I made a post about this here: https://www.myg37.com/forums/g37-sed...enono-bbk.html

I wasn't sure about which Duck Feets would work. I found references to both 7.5 and 8.5 widths on the interwebs. I found used 7.5s available but they did not look great and I wasn't sure they'd fit so I bit the bullet and bought new 18x8.5 Enkeis and 245/45-R18 Conti Extreme Contacts from Tire Rack. All together now it looks pretty good and stops like it goes now. Stillen SC helped me run a 12.966 at Maple Grove last season. Rapid Grocery getter.
