Akebono calipers

I have an 08 Journey Coupe and I wanted to know if the Akebono calipers will fit on my rotors or would I have to get larger rotors?

Anybody??

Damn...I was afraid to hear that. Riverside sells the calipers for $229 a piece and stoptech rotors for $234. I can put together a front bbk kit for about $700...hmmm not bad instead of paying $1900 just to get the rear calipers which I dont really need.

Isn't it 1500 for a whole set? Not just the rears?

Riverside has the set for $1900 front and rear calipers, froont rotors and brake fluid.

Honestly I dont need the rear as 80% of your brakes are up front. If I can put together a kit for $700 that is a deal excluding the rear.

Don't forget the clips, pins and pads.

The $1900 kit from RI includes *everything*... bolts, dust shields, brake lines, F+R rotors, F+R pads, F+R clips/pins, F+R calipers, fluid, etc...

If you just want the basic components, forego replacing the dust shields and re-using your existing bolts. This is really all you need.

If you sourced these out yourself, it comes out to a little under $1,400.

I don't know about the 37's, but the 35's apply quite a bit more pressure to the rear brakes than they do to the front.

Then, you also have to consider how much just replacing the front brakes will affect your brake-bias.

have fun removing and replacing the dust shields....I started going down that path and eventually got pissed and just cut them out as much as I could.

I know I will probably get kicked out of here but I am selling a front set of Akebono calipers and rotors, along with the OEM pads (and all hardware you need). PM me for info/pics. (I'm a G35 owner, thus 1st post on G37 forum)
