New Y pipe and cats (2012 g37xs sedan)
I had a check engine light come on the other day, I took it in today after getting "p0430" and "c1109" codes from my personal scanner. The shop said they only got the "p0430" code and after inspecting they said that a left side cat needs to be replaced as well as the Y pipe due to the rust build up. They were asking 3200 with parts and labor included. Is this a fair price or should I just buy the parts and do it myself? I haven't ever done anything related to the exhaust system on a car before. Infiniti dealership is asking 1070 per cat and 840 for the y pipe. I was thinking of keeping everything OEM because I do like the stock/more quiet sound that the car comes with.
They also said I needed new front rotors as the ones I have are going bad. Not very worried about those right now but I don't really want to drive with the cat going bad.
Thoughts on what I should do?

I replaced the y pipe with one from Megan racing about $200 for the y pipe and maybe 150 or 200 for the install. 2 years later I'm getting the p0430 code, if it turns out to be the cats, I'm just getting aftermarket high flow cats from kenetix for about $500 and anticipate another 200 or so for the install.
Your quote sounds about right for factory parts and labor, but you'd have to be a real chump to replace them with factory parts at the dealership on a 12yo car.
if you keep the stock resonators and mufflers, the difference in sound shouldn't be appreciable. Maybe a bit louder and a little raspier when cold

Thanks for the recommendation, I'll probably get an after market pipe and cats since I'm not a chump. I assume I have change the 02 sensors too, you have recommendations from where I should get those?
