muffler delete wont bring you much if any power increase. just for noise. the pipes on stock exhaust are tiny af.

test pipes do free up a little airflow, and im glad you just used drop in filters rather that those short rams.

if you get the money for a catback, and if you're on a budget go on FBMP or offerup and find a used LTI, youll push some gains on stock tune

Without a tune you'll stay between 13.5-14, even fully bolted. These same mods can yield a high 12 or lower depending on the tuning.

The biggest bottle neck is the exhaust, I've seen many stock airbox and filter VHRs averaging 315-320whp tuned on these boxes with Tomei CBEs
That indescribable feeling of once tuned is a leveling of the airfuels with added VTC, VVEL and ignition timing all working towards more performance now that they can flow better.
If the OEM ECM was better at airfuel controls with mods, a tune wouldn't be so necessary.

Who touches VVEL? I talked to a couple tuners and according to them there is no performance gains in VVEL adjustments...
It sounds strange to me, because I have Acura and i can feel great improvement lowering vtec engagement point.

VVEL and VTEC are two entirely different systems. Just saying...

LOL Believe me, I completely understand that, but both systems controls valve lift

The reason most dont touch VVEL is due to combination of parts, usually most "bolted" cars which add up to 90% of VHRs tuned dont need this adjustment however vehicles with cams and other components will benefit.

VTEC and VVEL do share the similarity of controlling lift however that's where it ends. Honda is an on/off lift, VVEL is a variable lift constantly being adjusted, VVEL is only in the intake cam.
Also in comparison Honda V engines are geared towards efficiency.
Even the famous unicorn J37 still struggles to clear 300whp fully bolted.
Only those who Frankenstein build their Js are breaking that. Many take 3.5 blocks + J37 heads(True Vtec)
This combo yields a 3.6 11.2 comp SOHC dual vtec V6.
The VHR still has another throttle body + VTC on top of the J in factory form.
