mild bolt ons with tune

New here, and I would say be nice but everyone is entitled to their opinions so bring them on!

Just bought a Black 08 Journey 5/AT and absolutely love it. I got it with 55k miles, one previous owner, "s" rims, minty condition for 13,665. Car drives amazingly well, no complaints.

I just installed R2C intakes and did an oil change with Amsoil 5w-30.

My plan was to just do high flow cats in addition to the SRI and then do an Uprev dyno tune.

My question is, does anyone have any graphs showing the gains of a tune with minor bolt ons vs stock? Is it worth the money for the tune with having so little mods done?

My other car is a built k20 on boost and before I went boost, tuning made a huge difference with flashpro with just minor bolt ons.

Just not sure if it's the same with this beautiful motor. Any feedback would be great.

Is there a reason other than money that you don't want a 2.5in exhaust to pair with the cats?

Well it's honestly the sound. I just happen to love the way the car sounds with the stock exhaust. Not loud, not quiet, just right and I think with HFC's it will be even more of what I have in mind.

Also, from what I've seen, the cats seem to be the biggest restriction. I wonder what a back to back graph would look like on the following set ups:

A) STOCK CATS, SRI, TUNE

B) HFC, SRI, TUNE

C) HFC, CBE, SRI, TUNE

I would do EcuTek e-tune from Sebation at Specialty Z after HFC's.

To answer your question yes the bolt ons will add some power. I have test pipes and r2c intakes, made 300 whp on the dyno. I have yet to actually do a good tune so not sure what extra power it will add. I am still just running the uprev base tune.
