Is there an easy to follow replacement guide here? I searched but nothing.

Are you talking about the hood struts? Easy 10 minute job. Get a flathead, remove the clip, pop in the new strut. Do them one at a time so the hood doesn't fall on you.

How are these struts? I used non-OEM struts for my trunk, and they were overkill in the stiffness dept. As soon as I pop the latch on the trunk the lid wants to fly open. Loved the price, hate the action.

For around $300, TopSecret makes a crazy expensive hood stay. Seems pretty silly, but it's a thing:

OP, with reviews like this, you'd be foolish to do anything other than these ones.

Sexy Hood Dampers
Really a unique and fun upgrade. They improved my love life immensely . Right after installing them I got a big promotion at work and then hit the lottery.
