Hood off centered

I just noticed my G37 coupe hood is off centered by about 1 or 2 mm to the driver side. The gap between the hood and the front quarter panel on the passenger side is about 1 or 2 mm bigger than the gap on the driver side.

Anyone know if this can be easily adjusted or do I have to bring it back to the dealer?

Thanks.

Might be the hood latches ....pop the hood and see if they are the same length maybe even unscrew them a little and put the pin back in. Happened to me when I took my TS hood off my car and put the OEM one back on. If it's like that it shouldn't be a problem.

How many screws are holding the hood latches?

Also, do you mean the hood pins? Are these pins on the hood or are they near the latches?

What do these pins do?

Thanks.

There's only 4 10mm bolts holding the hood. You can adjust it by loosening them and move it. Have a friend help you out

Whatever is in the front under the hood on either side ( don't know the correct term for em). I just took out the push pin loosened em up a bit dropped the hood and it fit perfectly.

they are at the base of the hood (by the windshield) on either side. 2 per side, just pull the plastic cover towards the front of the hood, then down

I think I know where these four 10mm bolts are. They must be at the base of the hood dampers. There is a black plastic cover. I guess this is the plastic cover I have to pull off.

Thanks all for the replies. I'll try these two solutions this weekend.

I tried adjusting my hood yesterday. I loosen all four bolts. They were 12 mm. There was no room for side to side movement at all. Only up and down. The holes for the screws were just big enough for the screws.

Looks like these four screws are for holding the hood to the hood hinges. The hood hinges attach to the car body. I think these hinges might need adjustment. However, you can barely see them so I don't think you can adjust them without removing body panel.

I also tried adjusting the hood latches but that is only for the up and down fitment by the bumper.

I tried again this weekend at adjusting my hood. This time I got a friend to tighten the four 12 mm bolts while I pull the hold to the passenger side tightly. I noticed the two hood dampers tilt to the passenger side as well since it is attached to the hood hinges.

It worked this time!

I also adjusted the two hood latches at the front of the hood. The hood now sit more flush with the front bumper side to side.

Overall, the hood is nicely lined up and easier to open then before.

Thanks for all the help.
