Need advice on 90k mile service and choosing a reliable Indy shop
Good evening everyone. I once again need some input right after my coolant leak issue was resolved. So the G is driving real fine, and I am now approaching 90k miles. The closest dealership who last worked on my car is about 3 hours away, and I am taking advices from my previous post to find an independent mechanic. I came across a few shops with good reviews, but they are not Nissan/Infiniti specialty shops. I will give their service advisors a call on Monday, but want to know in advanced if it is a good idea to take my car a non specialty shop.
I am also concerned with approaching 90k+ miles. I read that a few major maintenance procedures should be performed. Can someone inform what has to be done? I was also told by other G owners to watch out for the gallery or galley gaskets. Apparently, 2013 Gs are not immune to this issue and they tend to shop up at this mileage. My last major repair was the water pump replacement at 86k miles, and I read in my invoice that two "Gasket Solenoids" were replaced. I was not informed by my advisor, but I saw it printed on my invoice. I am unsure if they are the gallery/galley gaskets because a quick Google search have matching images.
Thank you all once again in advanced.

What are you looking to have done at 90k?
Typical on here would be fluids like AT, Diff, coolant, Brake, PS, if they were not already done. Start thinking about Spark plug replacements. Then again, my ~120k 2013 G37x still needs these done. I only DIYed PS fluid changes. I'm looking to do AT and Coolant fluids, Spark Plugs, and Brake fluid next time I need new pads.
From what I read, the engines on the 2013 VQs aren't affected by the Galley basket issue.

I am just due for an oil change, and I want to make sure I am having everything necessary done at this mileage. I have to look around because there are no independent shops that specializes in Nissan and Infiniti products. I just don't want to go back to the dealership in my area. I read in many threads that 2013 onward models are not immune to the gallery gasket issues. I will try once again to ask around. Thank you for replying.
