90K miles service

Hi all,

My car has just approached 90k miles and I got a quote from Infiniti dealer for premium service + a bunch of add ons fluids which they told me I "needed" them for $1600
My local mechanics said that he can do all the maintenance except drivability diagnosis
With that I was wondering if Nissan dealer can perform the service or not and would Schedule 1 be enough instead of premium service?

Thanks

yes Nissan can do all the same things. closest infiniti dealer is an hour away or I can walk to the Nissan dealer. the prices aren't that much cheaper though sadly.

Check your owner's manual for the 90k service items.

I'd be willing to bet you could shave that cost in half or more, would be good to get a complete list of their plans for your car (and your wallet).

Thank you all,

So I just went to Nissan dealer and got Schedule 1 maintenance (Oil change+filter, tire rotation, cabin air filter, and Brake fluid) done for $311.87
Dealer told me that they recommended me to do 4WD/AWD service, Transmission service, and coolant flush next for around $800. I think I probably do Coolant flush by myself and save couple more bucks.

Be sure to check out the DIY folder, that cabin filter is about a 20 minute job and the filter costs about $20, oil/filter changes are real easy w/ this car too, and if you have a helper the brake fluid is pretty straightforward. All in all if you were to DIY the services you had done it would cost about $70 and a couple hours time.

Of course this assumes you have the tools & desire to DIY

also, Nissan did us a favour with the G37 and made it the easiest car on earth to change the engine air filters. ~$15-$20 for the two filters online, and less than 3 minutes of time to DIY - including opening the boxes and removing packaging.

I highly recommend doing your driveline fluids every 30,000miles or 2 years, whichever comes first.

Personally, I do mine every year and I only drive about 5,000 miles. Overkill? Most likely, but it's a small price to pay for peace of mind.

I would recommend doing your engine and cabin filters on your own though. That's about $150 saved right there.
