Problem with front/rear PDC's G37 sedan
Hi everyone,
I have a G37X sedan from 2011.
Looking for some information regarding an issue with parking sensors, once placed into the rear gear, no beeps going on disregarding the distance towards an obstacle behind nor in the front when driving slowly. The button next to the trunk opening door, the so-called "Sonar" glows with an off button all the time. I've checked the fuses, all working fine, might it be the signaling gong itself, which went faulty? Where to dig in next anyone got an idea would be super helpful, thank you?

Here in the US we only have rear sonar on our sedans and the unit is triggered by putting the car in reverse. It relies on 3 different fuses plus a backup lamp switch and relay. Maybe check to see if your backup lamps are working?
However, the indicator on your Sonar Cancel Switch seems to be telling you the system is in bypass mode for some reason. I believe that switch is a grounding signal - in other words, if you can get to it you could probably disconnect it temporarily to see if the switch itself has failed and the system begins working. Beyond that I really don't know what to suggest other than having it diagnosed by a shop with a Consult III...

If you have a good scanner (or use the apps like OBDFusion, or Torque), you can check to see if there are any codes stored.
Does the OFF indicator on the Sonar Switch blink or is it steady?
