Starting problem

My 2011 sedan often requires two pushes of the starter button to start the car. On the first push, the seat moves into position and dash lights go on. The second push starts the engine. Do I have a problem, or is this normal behavior?

I'm guessing you're pressing the breaks lol? It takes two pushes for me to turn on the cars accessories without me pressing the breaks.

Some times I limp wrist (ankle?) it and don't depress the brake enough and have to hit it twice.

Do you hold the brakes down, or do you just tap it...
