800-1000? How is that possible with two blown airbags?
Lord knows what other damage he's got on his hands if she was going fast enough to pop both airbags.

Keep in mind he stopped looking after the bumper per his original post.
Part it out if possible... You'll get a good penny for the HID headlamps alone if they're in good condition

- The car is totaled.
- The insurance will deny the claim. They will simply argue the policy was not in force at the time of the accident. It doesn't matter if the Queen of England was driving, there was no insurance, therefore the car should not have been on the road.
- To replace just the dash and airbags alone will cost at least $1K using used, eBay parts (assuming no wiring harnesses were damaged).
- Unknown damage to the frame/shock tower/misc. under hood items. I can almost guarantee there is more than cosmetic damage.

Assuming OP was a master mechanic and could do all of the work to repair himself, the costs will outweigh the value of the car. Remember, the car was smacked before in the rear so the value is likely already diminished somewhat.

Dump the car or part it out to recoup some monies to pay down your existing loan. No disrespect, might wanna dump the gf too.

Just my 10¢ worth...

Not to take away from this thread, I'll be posting a build thread, with my costs and pics.

Yeah that previous accident killed the value on the car. Loans suck. I am of the opinion that one should only have a mortgage payment for recurring monthly debts. All of my vehicles are cash cars, I get something cheap, wife gets something nice.

Rear wheels done, probably suspension components too. There's no way this car is worth fixing.

The car is rebuildable and worthwhile only if you do it yourself. This means you have a garage and have used tools and aren't afraid to take on a project and actually finishing it. Don't influence yourself from those youtube rebuilders.

From the pictures
1. you might need frame adjustment ( not 100% sure)
2. if you really want to save be within the actual cash value of the car then junkyard is your only source of all the parts, of course shopping around online might get your deals but expect tax and shipping cost and # of days of delays in shipping.
3. It is going to be very time consuming and you might possibly loose interest if time prolongs for too much. Therefore in thise case you're in a total loss.

I'm interested in the headlights if they are not cracked.
