Unhappy 2013 g 37 base sedan // rebuild or total loss?

Bought this car 3 months ago salvage from a rear end collision but worked like new. Ran hard. Low miles just 67,000 when i bought it but 71,000 after crash.

The way it got crashed was my girlfriend hit the gas hard and could not control the steering wheel causing her to spin out and hit a tree head on. NO injuries however, the car was not able to drive.
Seeking advice on weather to rebuild it or just call it a total loss. At first it seemed like it was totally loss because it did not start.
However, after towing it to my house and stripping off the bumper, it doesn't seem un-fixable. Then again, i know nothing about totaled cars as this is my first car.

Im in the Los Angeles area and looking to get a quote of how much in damages, parts and repair i will have to pay. My budget is $3,000. Car was bought or $10,000.

Hopefully someone can help and give me advice. I loved this car even with just 3 months of driving it. I would love to keep it however, I will accept it if its a goner.

Images of crash on primary damages. Both front air bags deployed. Hood is unable to open. Stopped stripping after bumper.

Looks like it's totaled, too much damage to fix it

That car is a total loss. Even if you have full insurance coverage, which being a salvage car you probably do not, the car would be written off. It will cost a hell of a lot more than the $3K budget you have to repair. The car is not worth it and with 2 wrecks on its title, I personally wouldn't want the car anymore.

Its dead. Parts alone would be over 3k. You would have to strip the interior as well and replace that dash. You can see that front frame rail is bent inwards also. Take that 3K and buy a FWD civic.

Almost any car is fixable. This car is fixable, but it is not worth it, especially with your budget.

You'll spend $3000 in parts and a week of labor.

Unfortunately you wont get much for it either unless insurance scoops it.

Get your girl some therapy also, to wreck a G like that will mark you for life.

Damn that sucks, I’ve rebuilt a few cars, and besides the actual rebuild the titling is a major pain in the ***. Time to move on to the next car.

If you have full insurance coverage the insurance company will give you a check based on how much that car is worth around your area. It does not matter if it is a rebuilt title or clean title. I bought my first G37 coupe with a rebuilt title with full coverage, then got t-boned and insurance gave me the amount the car was worth which was more than I paid for. Then went back to the auction and bought another rebuilt title g37 which I'm currently driving.

The thing about my insurance right now is it is currently "suspended" unit OCT 18 2019 for non payment of $1,800 that they charged adding this car to an existing plan that im currently fighting.
Will my insurance still cover me or the cost of the car if I was not driving?
I have infinity insurance with Liability, Collision, & Comprehensive.

In retrospect, as you now know, the car should not have been driven until you cleared the suspension with your insurance. Even then the car should only be driven by you alone unless your girlfriend is on the policy.

Unfortunately, from the sound of it the answer is no.

A... Your insurance was suspended "while the car was being driven" They can and probably will use this clause to get out of paying for the claim

B.... Your girlfriend was driving the car at the time of the accident. Unless she's on the policy and somehow you can get past point A above, they'll use that against you and deny the claim.

Some insurance companies allow other drivers to operate your vehicle with consent. (State Farm and some other big names may do this but you'll have to confirm if you can get past point A.)

C.... You filed a police report. If she's listed as the driver at the time of the accident, see point B above.

I'd like to see what that fender looks like and the hood popped open. The damage doesn't look terribly bad. Probably looking at 800-1k in parts. I need to put my rebuild thread together. I'm almost done with my rebuild.
