2009 G37 sedan battery recommendation

I think my G takes a Group 26 or 35 battery. Just wondering what you guys would recommend for a replacement. I'm in Texas so heat is the biggest issue.

I'm leaning toward an EverStart from Wal-Mart, or an Interstate. Currently I have an Infiniti installed OEM battery that was installed Jan 2012 after applying ITB10-010C, so it's been almost 6 years.

It just doesn't turn over with the vigor it did in the past... time to replace. Not interested in these newer $250 AGM batteries. Thanks!

Edit: I just saw in a similar thread where Black Betty recommended the Exide NASCAR Extreme. I'll check it out.

I've personally run the EverStart Maxx from WalMart before without issue. I spent the little extra on the Maxx to get the better CCA.

Pep Boys has some good prices if they are near you. 3 Year Warranty with Pro-rate on the Bosch for $92. You can also go to Costco I believe they use Interstate.

Some people are using Lithium batteries, if mine wasn't acting up prematurely, I would have considered it. They don't rate CCA like the liquid filled batteries. They weigh like 20 lbs less.

Thanks for the feedback.

I could probably go back to the dealer and get a 25% pro-rate discount, but I don't think they would call my battery "bad". It's just a bit weak...

They'll put a battery tester on it and it'll usually either say low charge, needs charging or bad cell, replace battery

There's a guy local to me that sells batteries for super cheap. They're Continental batteries. $80 tax included. You are required to give him your old battery.

I been running it for 2 years now.

I have an '09 coupe I bought in the spring with 30k on it, they said the battery was three years old. I was always suspect of it and finally got it tested in the fall at a local Advance Auto store. It was on it's way so I called my local Infiniti dealer for a price. $175 for a new battery, installed and they put my battery tender terminals on it. Sure, I could have paid about $130 at the Advance store but I got a factory rated battery, 84-month warranty, and installed by a factory-trained guy. I think I was in and out of there in 45 minutes. All of that is worth the extra few dollars.
