^^Recall, it was a broken kia (optima sx 2011 that wouldn't drive straight) that got me into the G in the first place. Will they be having engine recalls with this one too.... Or have they learned their lesson.

I like the idea of the stinger but I cant deal with its looks in any colour but black...too much fake venty goodness going on.

my fingers are crossed that the stinger/G70 are a signal from Kia and Hyundai that they are investing quality going forward as they try to establish more premium brand offerings

I agree. I saw one of these in black at an auto show with accessory (?) wheels and it looked much better. Not nearly as generic as usual.

Wouldn't driving dynamics be the same or better (weight distribution) in a wagon/hatch than a sedan?

But I do like the look of this Jaguar XE SV Project 8. Much more aggressive.

I will say for me the XE checks all the aesthetic boxes. Drove one 6 months ago. Only issue for me was it needed better brakes I think. Seats were also a little less bolstered.

I haven't driven one, but I did visit my local Jag dealership to check it out. My take-away: this car looks so-o-o much better on-line than it actually does in person. When you sit in the XE, and walk around the car with your own eyes, it's just not that impressive.

I left Jag thinking that I already own the better car.

You flip around a lot, the other week you were comparing the interior of the G to a Sentra

But, I don't disagree with you

In comparison to the F-Type... yeah, that's true.

I was expecting a Sedan-like interpretation of the F-Type in the XE, and was hugely disappointed. The XE is just a bread & butter sedan, whereas the F-Type is special.

You could also argue, how can I be impressed with the Stinger, but unimpressed with the XE? That's because the Stinger is punching up with something new and unique, whereas the XE is punching down with a basic design.
