Replaced driver's side mirror. I got a piece of glass on ebay for $15 with 3m tape. I thought it would be some direct fit, but to make it work I had to either scrape off broken glass or put new one on top of the broken one.
I decided to just put new glass on top of the broken one. Still looks good. I also noticed that I had heated mirrors and this one will not be heated. Oh well, I guess eventually I will replace it with heated glass with bracket already attached.
Speaking of dents, I saw some articles on google that to fix all hail damage dents, it is not required to get whole car repainted. There is some way to do it without it affecting the paint, which will be much cheaper.
Nevertheless, dents it least of my priorities, and eventually I might do more research on that.
Yeah, look for PDR shops (Paintless Dent Repair), they can really work some miracles.
Hopefully removing that wrap adhesive won't mess up your clear coat.
PDR will probably be able to bring the car back to 90%. It's not likely worth it though, you'll probably spend thousands to get the car looking mostly decent, which is really going to eat into how much you've saved by going this route with the car.

Not if he does it himself!!!! I'm sure there is a learning curve. But, he's got a big enough canvas to practice on and nothing to lose!
Thanks. Next one is subwoofer and amp replacement to including more cleaning interior from glass particles.
PDR does look like an interesting option. I wonder how much it will cost if repainting the car is not a necessity. In some forum I've seen one guy who said he spent $500 for two cars that had hail damage. Price seems to low though. I wonder how much it will cost. But I might get an estimate from couple places after I get my title rebuilt etc.

It'll cost enough that the insurance company decided it wasn't worth doing and it'd be better to write it off.
Went to DMV today, submitted all my paperwork and paid $40 for inspection, which is scheduled for 8/17.
Got home and finished all interior. Noticed that with new subwoofer and amp, sound in the rear deck is VERY quiet. Does anybody know what could be the issue?
Also, noticed that water might be leaking in the trunk space. I think its by one of the tail lights. Do you think that gap is common? Do you guys have that gap on your cars?
