Black Out Rear Badges! Plasti? Flexi?
Wassup guys
Was searching all over and couldn't find a DIY on blacking out the badges.
Anybody has experience and can help a brotha out?
Really don't wanna pay someone to do this!
And what's the difference between plastidip and flexidip?

Neither get very glossy even with glossifier.
If you want a satin finish that's fine. I used plasti-dip on my grill w/o glossifier and I'm very satisfied.
I personally prefer a gloss finish on the emblems, so when I did my engine cover emblem, I used duplicolor black chrome and clear coat.
I def prefer that to dip on the badges, but it is not nearly as easy to remove.

I've had my emblems dipped for a few years, but I think I will take it off and paint it soon, just to get a glossier finish.

Professional paint will always look better than rattle can. But the magnitude of that difference depends on the level of effort one puts into it, and the surface area the part presents.

Seriously though, well done plastidip looks fantastic. I have seen some fully dipped cars done with the spray gun (not the cans) and pearlizer / glossifier and it looks really good.
