Decided to clean up my brake calipers and wheels when I was installing the new Toyo rubber. I have to say the white powder coating on the calipers has held up amazingly well.. considering it's been on there for 6 or 7 years.

My first part was finishing my Frankenstein DIY of a JWT pop charger and K&N typhoon intake.

Then I restored my stock enkei sport wheels as the paint was coming off and there was some curb rash from previous owners. I used a custom dip kit to make a gloss anthracite mettalic gray color for the wheels.

Thanks! It's easier to touch up, cheaper than powdercoating one wheel and scrapping will do the same amount of damage to powdercoat but will be more expensive to fix. Worst thing about it is if your carefull with powdercoated wheels they will last years longer than a similar plastidipped set obviously.

I saw that you posted right at the same time and though "ahh man I wish I could clean my rims and calipers enough to look that good haha" That's a nice setup man

I've always been a fan of the early year OEM 18's, so it's nice to see people still running them and making them look even better. You running any type of wheel spacers with those?

Hahaha.... Thanks for the nice comments, man... Much appreciated!

It's plastidip not paint, and that is the recommended technique to be done for the best results. I wouldn't have spent a full day prepping my rims and three days in applying and sealing the plastidip "jus to be lazy".

Wow Adrian, those calipers still pop like day one, and those wheels, wow those wheels, way to treat them right w/ serious rubber!

Agree about the earlier split spoke 18s, classy wheels that hold up well over time.

Mk that is some good lookin dip right there.

I finished my interior trim today. I was thinking it might be a little too much but now that I see it all together with the dark center stack I think it works.

These iPhone pics do it no justice. It's actually a lot darker than it appears in these.

Wow. I really like that. I'm such a sucker for amber and orange. I bet you're looking at your car now and thinking, "How can I get my Start button and seat belt latches to match?"

You know, if I had a black interior, pretty sure this would get my attention in a big way.

You dyed your stitching red? I didn't notice that. Now you've too many colors going on, man.

Anyway, love the orange... er, I mean, Burnt Copper. It looks like you did a fine job there.

Thanks.

If I had thought of doing the trim in copper I might have done the stitching in the same color. Oh well. At least the stitching matches the exterior.
