Have any of you had experience installing the lights?
Interior lights are easy, just use a straight edge (I used a fake/sample credit card, it worked well) to pry open the light covers. License plate bulbs are also easy. Use a small flathead screwdriver to release the housings.

Turn signal and city lights are tougher, you'll need to take the wheels off and remove the fender liners to get to the insides of the headlights.

Good luck! LEDs transform the ambiance of the car very drastically.

Just got back from picking up the wheels from the shop and I drove home to get the tires, went straight to discount tire, and opened the trunk door and it looked like this:

Now I had them wrapped around towels/rags so I don't understand how the paint could come off so easy...
I spoke to him and he's gonna touch it up with paint but if it doesn't look good and I want it repainted he's gonna charge me again.

He said he put the last layer of paint on a day before I picked them up....

PS: they were painted not powder coated.

Ouch Matt, that's horrible news, must have really been clunking around back there. Sorry to see that, G/L with the touchup repair.

I don't think he let them dry enough. Isn't a day too soon? I'm just learning about this so...

Im no expert on the subject, but you're going to have a hard time convincing me that the damage can be blamed on the painter.... (I don't know his curing procedure) but thats an awful lot of rash. Hopefully the touch ups work out

He told me I was good to go put them on my tires. Could you imagine what they would have looked like just by putting them on?!

They look like they got bounced pretty good on the ride over like B said above... neither of us saw your wrap job but I think we both came to the same conclusion. He was probably correct stating that they could be mounted, no reputable tire shop would cause damage like that.

Please believe that I have sympathy for your situation... wouldn't wish it on anybody.. just having a hard time following the story

No worries that's why I posted this. I wanted to hear opinions and I got them. I'll post a follow up pic with the touch up. Wish me luck!!!

It doesn't take much to gouge paint. Scratched the hell out of the gloss black finish on my spare before I realized what was happening.

For me, the bigger question is how red wheels are going to look on the car. That's a pretty bold choice.
