I do not think anything goes there. Like you said, every picture on the internet has that slot empty and there is no additional "tools" available from Nissan for that slot:


If there was a additional, or missing, "tool" it would be listed. Also, albeit a different design, there is no "missing piece" for the Coupe's, either.

I think the chocks are required in Europe, so no point in including them in the english-language parts guide. Unless it also has EIM and JDM market parts also.

G37 content: I drove mine to work today. Been about a month since I've been in it (thank you battery tender). I'm driving it so rarely that I feel like annotating the drive is important.

I did get into throttle steer apexing some corners a little too assertively. Nothing I'd get a ticket for though.

 

Because I was bored and like a good mystery- plus my soaps are not on yet- I did more digging. To be clear, when I check for parts I almost never use the USDM catalogs exclusively. As these cars age most parts are quickly becoming listed as "discontinued" or "NLA." The sites I use, jp-carparts.com for JDM or 7zap.com for global, often have the most current catalogs and part numbers; even those "N/A" here in the USA. I have ordered a few "discontinued" parts from Japan- especially paint-specific items- and often at prices much cheaper than here in the US even with international shipping.

As with quite a few things with Nissan, there is no rhyme or reason as to what exact models or global variants get these wheel chocks. I have found some for the old 300Z's, some 350/370Z's, the R33/34's as well as a handful of other models. I found absolutely nothing for the V36/37 G/Q's globally. There are two types: ones that fold and others that are in a fixed shape:



If you notice, it lists the "Skyline" and "Fairlady Z" but does not list the "VQ37VHR" even though this p/n cross-references to the 370Z:


Long story short... OEM tire chocks are out there. I am sure a handful of purists will want to grab one. There are quite a few on eBay and even Z1 Motorsports claims to have some used stock on hand.

OK, that's more about Nissan tire chocks than I ever cared to know... lol, soap opera time...

 

Very nice, I love driving mine on some twisties. I need to upgrade my sway bars next. The coilovers do wonders though. Do you drive the FD much?

 

FD? Never owned one. I was into FB and FC models, SCCA IT-A and IT-S classes. And I had an RX8 street only.

My best friend in NC has his FD still. Single turbo, vmount, lots of mods.
