Had misfire on the way to the Junk yard and happen to come across 6 brand new Hitachi coils

 

Been awhile since I've posted but I bought a bunch for my rear end today and I'm pumped!

 

Awesome!! Is that R200 the same as our stock diffs? I'd be interested in going that path if z1 could assemble the full 4.08 gears for me and just send them my core diff in exchange.

 

It's an OEM diff, yes. You can have them build it for you, and choose what style you want (Open, VLSD, LSD, etc), as well as the gearing. I chose to upgrade the VLSD to a Z1 true LSD since I want to do most of my rear end upgrades at the same time. The diff itself its assembled and just needs to be filled with fluids after you install it.

I thought the S were VLSD not Open?

I've had my eye on this diff build for a while but unsure about what gearing, oil, bushing and diff type to choose.

 

They are VLSD. I'm just saying they give you an option if you aren't a higher end model to upgrade that open as well. The VLSD is not all that good which is why I decided to go for the LSD.

 

Wish there was a reasonable Torsen option for the R200.

 

Got my windows tinted last Thursday with 25% tint and I vinyl wrapped the lower portion of the windows today. First time doing it.. and it wasn't as hard as I thought it would be.

Going to get my sun visors reupholstered (hopefully) in suede on Monday. I got a good price quote as opposed to other shops last year who either did not want to do it because the visors are "too complicated" or quoted me at an absurd price of $600. What's cool is that the guy is mobile now and will pick them up and will start working on them.

 

Does anyone know if this statement is true about air running through a tube travelling along the walls primarily? Someone back in the year 2013 said this over on the 370z forums:

"What you typically want to look for in an aftermarket exhaust is smooth bends and transitions, as well as smooth welds on the inside of the piping. Anything on the inside of the piping that can cause turbulence will hurt performance because air running through a tube travels along the walls, not the "empty space" on the inside."

I'm very curious about this because I have the parts to replace the flanges between my 2.5" cats going to my 2.25" catback. The flange size mismatch is obviously along the outer walls of the pipe. This would mean I would get an even bigger benefit by smoothing out that transition properly.
