Was traveling between two offices in a hurry and discovered that only having the rear Hotchkiss bar (front is OEM sport) really makes sweeping off ramps more... exciting.

I love it when this car makes me smile.

Breaking the tightened torque of stock Infiniti suspension is quite the work out. Lower control arms while on jackstands are the best for biceps and shoulders

On another note is your username in relation to a H/F hybrid motor combo on boost by any chance?

Wheels are nice, show us pics when you get them installed!

I'm gonna try to get those 370z nismo springs installed this weekend because it's supposed to warm up a bit. I'm expecting the rears to drop my sedan too far, but I'm going to test it anyway and try to get a picture for informational purposes. Then I'll just put the stock sport springs back on the rear and trim the isolators by about 1/2 - 5/8" to make it even with the fronts with the 370z nismo springs. I'll put up the pictures after I get it done.

Need to clean up my garage after installing new insulation & drywall and I'll get to installing the new dead pedal. It looks so clean maybe I'll just leave it in the wrapper!

So here's why I decided on plastidip vs. powdercoat. Had to have a screw hole patched today.

Only one of those scratches is down to primer - the rest are down to bare metal. Sigh.

So instead of losing my interrupt stack at them for scratching a powdercoated wheel, I sanded with 220, used primer on a q-tip to touch up metal, and have sprayed 1st coat of plasti-dip back on. 2nd coat later tonight before it gets cold and I'll have it back on the car.

I swear, I can't get any body down here to work on my car for anything without F-ing something up. Or my wife's Mazda.

Man that sucks, I would be furious. I've had tire shops scratch my wheels in the past so I know the feeling. They didn't look as bad as yours though..

I had Pep Boys down here drop the wife's old Mini Cooper off the lift, and then scratch one of the RX8 wheels so badly they had to buy me a new one and pay to have it powdercoated like the rest.
I had Safelite run the seal-knife down the rear quarter of my RX8 like a damn vandal and have to pay to have the back half of the car repainted.
We have a local tire chain called Gerald's and they generally do good work but they've tried aligning the G37 2x and messed up two different sets of wheels like this.

There's a reason I don't trust anyone else to work on my car. I just wish I had more time.

I *do* have access to the USAF base auto hobby shop now, so I can use their lifts for underneath stuff. Should make front swaybar much faster.

That short wheel base of the Mini must be fun in the lift
I have a suggestion... Tape the **** out of your wheels prior to them servicing them.
If this fails, you'll have to make the time to use the USAF services.

On another note I'm working on a FC Piston powered putting all of my might into it.

@BULL - This was a drive-on lift (not a 2 or 4 poster). They drove off the end. I had the Mini on a 4-post a dozen times when I still had access to the race shop and it was fine.

For the FC - let me know if you need any oem parts like lights, interior electronics, etc - I still have a few bins of stuff.
