The Sedan Exhaust Thread
Do you plan on replacing the stock Y-pipe at any point? Could you take / post a pic of a shot from behind with the car off the lift? Curious to see what it looks like in an everyday setting. That canister doesn't look too crazy - might be because it isn't angled but that looks clean.
Nice set up Banshee.
I would upgrade that Y pipe. Oem is only 1 7/8"
You can find them cheap on ebay. FOR NISSAN 370Z/Z34 G37/V36 VQ37VHR STAINLESS X/Y-PIPE EXHAUST FLEX PIPING+BOLTS | eBay

Next is a slight drop on some swift or eibach springs. That should help it fit in nicer as far as over all looks.
Those narrow pipes probably help mid-range torque but does nothing good for peak power. Luckily, our MAF-equipped intake can deal with some fairly significant mass-flow changes with the factory maps. My car runs well with the ARK Grip and I didn't even reset the ECU.
So, can anyone confirm the stock Y Pipe diameter? (the one before the mufflers) I thought the thing was 2.25". I got a section of 2.25" pipe and it looks way freaking bigger than my y pipe section.
The plan is to cut out the stock resonators and just weld a straight pipe in place, to go along with my Tanabes.

The stock y pipe on the sedan is about 1.8" internal diameter. The HR y pipe is about 1.9"...It's the largest OEM y pipe I found aside from the nismo one which I believe is 2.5" from the factory. I wish someone made a 2.25" version.
Here are some pics. I'll take better ones later but right now it's up against a wall so can't really get a "normal" pic but I get what you want. I'll do it later today.

Keep in mind that once you lower your car you are going to be bottoming out that muffler and tip all the time. I ended up having the 4" tips cut-off my Tanabe muffler and went with a quad tip set-up because I was tired of constantly dragging those big tips over almost every parking lot and driveway entrance and exit.
Just got my Top Speed Exhaust in for my sedan. My question is did everyone use the supplied hardware and gaskets or did they use something "better"? I'm getting it installed in a few weeks and I wanna make sure its done right the first time with no leaks or anything.

Have some pretty good news for the AWD guys... Motordyne has started to produce the Shockwave exhaust for AWD G37s! Along with Motordyne ART pipes for AWD.
Motordyne will also be creating ART pipes with a catalyst... So the awesomeness off ART pipes, but you'll pass emissions! Should be released within the next week or so.

Just went through your page yesterday Tox ha ha. My only concern is the volume of the Motordyne. From my understanding, FI is a bit deeper but more subtle. I see you're in a neighborhood in the vid, any neighbor complaints?
