Hey fellas, just wrapped my roof with a glass black wrap and plasti dipped my emblems in black as well. Thought it turned out pretty well.

What do you guys think?

You don't actually have to drop the entire headliner. I just pulled down the back of the headliner enough for me to reach underneath and remove the nut and connector for the shark fin. I then picked up a used shark fin antenna in black off eBay for $35, so no need to wrap the antenna that way!

Looks great, Andy. Looks like you did a good job with the application. I just love the look of a black roof on a white car, but I'm a bit biased I guess.

now you need to vinyl wrap your window trim, and do something about that chrome trunk trim (spoiler thing). once you start you can't stop.

I just did my roof too! Along with a roof spoiler. Side trim is next.

There is a very basic DIY somewhere on here. It's pretty straightforward. I have a few imperfections and I think I could do even better next time. But even after reading everything, you really have to just attack it and experience it yourself.

if you spray enough layers of plasti-dip, it will come on very easily and in one piece.. nothing to regret.....

Looks good! I'm thinking about doing the roof, too. How big a sheet did you need to buy?

Dip comes off fine with enough coats (at LEAST 4). Looks pretty meh on emblems, though. I think the reason why is that you lose the 3-dimensionality of it. Dip blends together and you lose the highlights and shadows of the emblem. Painting doesn't have that issue, because it's not porous like dip. This is my non-expert opinion, of course. Not sure if that even makes sense, actually... But dipped parts always look like a black hole with no definition.

Looks great! I wish I could wrap mine. I have 4 large/deep stone chips that I touched up and they look like a teenager's pimples. I guess I can't wrap anymore...

How bad are the chips? Vinyl is real forgiving!

Can you upload a pic of the whole car in the daylight? I've never seen a vinyl wrapped roof for a graphite shadow. Or is it shadow graphite. I ALWAYS MIX THE TWO
