Cruise Control issues

I have a 07 G35 6MT with adaptive cruise control and been experiencing issues with it. Cc will not set if I press the brakes or clutch. However after not using the clutch or brake pedal for 20 mins, I can engage cc again until I use the clutch/brake pedal. Using search, I figured it can be the cut out switch but not sure since I can intermittently use the CC and that both the cut off switch for brake and clutch pedal would go out at the same time. Please respond with any advice. Thanks.

Also the plastic tabs that the switches come into contact with appears to be intact.

the cruise control is designed to disengage when you apply the brakes. you would need to set it again after you reach the desired cruising speed you want and apply it by hitting the button again.

Yes. I know that. The issue is that the cc will not engage for a few minutes after hitting the brake/clutch pedal. The button does nothing after I get back to speed. I have to wait for a duration of time before I can engage the cc again.

its possible the cruise control module may be internally faulty or the stop lamp switch is staying engaged giving the wrong signal to the cruise control module and not allowing the cruise button to engage the cruise control. hook up a scan tool which show live data and check the reading of the stop lamp switch after you let off on it when the cruise was on. this should help u isolate whether the problem is the stop lamp switch or faulty cruise control module.

Still having this issue. Replaced the brake switch and the cruise cruise turns on and works for a bit but then faults and I can no longer use cruise anymore. It has stop doing the previous issues when I first made the thread. It's driving me crazy. Anybody else experiencing this madness?

Could it be a faulty clutch switch? The clutch switch looks hard to replaced as there's no space to work with.

I was reading your thread, wondering if you had considered the Cruise Control clutch switch... and here you are thinking about the clutch switch.

I had a similar issue about a year ago with the clutch position sensor for the ignition, where the car was only starting occasionally. Believe me, I was slowly going insane, wondering if the car would start each and every time I tried. Turned out to be that little switch, which was only $20, and suddenly everything was right with the world again.

IIRC, the two sensors are virtually identical. Here's a pic:

I would be surprised if the CC switch cost any more than that, too. Might as well give it a try. As for it being awkward to access... that's true. Just take your time. Or look at this project as a way to become comfortable with the components, as a prelude to installing the RJM Clutch Pedal Assembly. Because if you haven't already, this is something you need in your life.
