Shift Knob

That 4DSC one sure is appealing to me. Sadly, I have a stone leather interior that wouldn't look right with a black ****. And (not so sadly, LOL) my car is a 6MT, so fitment likely impossible because of the release button. But for reasons that some people here can probably figure out, I really, really, really like that 4DSC ****.
If it doesn't work out, establish a membership on Maxima.org and create a FS thread. I'm sure you could sell it there at a very negligible loss.

Got a call from my local dealer shipment was in at 8 am .. went to pick it up on my way to work and so far just by looking.. I am loving it. Guys feast your eyes on these..

blue stitching for my blue slate, always a plus

I must say, i like the feel of it, the grip just feels good. I also noticed that the chrome lining on the **** will go along well with the chrome lining of the console body.

Installing coming up next.. any advise ??

Wow.
Not digging the blue thread, but still, wow. That's beautiful.
Wait, no boot-ring? The boot-ring is integrated into the G's OEM ****.

It was easy as 1,2,3. Push down the boot, pull the pin and then pull the ****.
For starters here is a comparison

the pin settles in well, no mod needed. I just reused the old one as it was a little smaller in length.

the pin poked out a little, not a big problem you can always press is closer together.

there is a little gap on the back end due to the curve design.

a view from the from end to explain the gap on the back.

but not much of a big deal. One thing to note is that the boot ring doesn't settle well as oem. I'd have trim down the front end of the ring to match the curve and have it settle in properly.

as expected the chrome lining on the **** does match up with the console lining. Enjoy

Over all I like the view, it just matches my console as if its oem. I could have gone with the white stitching to match the seat stitching but its works out for me since the console dash lights are either blue or white so a little mix is good. At night the ambient light has a slight glow on the chrome lining and I am ok with it. a night picture doesn't do justice as the flash light throws off the look. It feels a little different when shifting but its just a matter of time and i'll get used to it. I am really happy that I jumped on this mod.
note :All pictures were taken with a cell phone with a 13 MP camera.
Let me know if you guys have any questions or what you guys think.
Enjoy
Thanks

That gap at the boot ring would drive me nuts. If that bothers you too, hope you can figure out a solution. You mentioned shaving the other side... good luck.
In a couple of your pics, it looks absolutely fantastic. So cool. In the others, it looks awkwardly tall and out of place. If it were me, I suspect I would need some time before making a final decision, because my first impression isn't an overwhelming Hell-Yeah!, know what I mean?
Either way, I'm impressed with this mod idea and your follow-through. Well done, G10.
