I still believe if we bought the boot as well it would fit perfect and would go nicely with the leather since the stitching would match. I'll go for it one day so0n.
IT does sit a little higher but perfect level if your arm is on the arm rest. , The boot swap it out, LOL just called me Nissan dealer and the boots $658. :/
I'll have an update on the "fix" next weekend, My shifter is being replaced under warranty next Friday for not being able to switch to DS or manual mode. Just started doing it Monday.
I think the **** looking too high is more perception than actual height. The way it slants backwards is a visual trick to seeing it elongated in a 2D photo.
In person, and in 3D, or simply in profile, it probably looks a lot better. If I had a slushbox, I'd certainly have one of these, too. I think it's beautiful.
It would look better yet without the friendship bracelet from summer camp.

So I got mine yesterday and installed it , You can see there is a solution for the gap( Last pic) in the back but I didn't have zip ties to make it stay. I had the whole console out and found a way to have it sit all the way up but had to got therapy and had no time to run to the auto store I'll tackle this on Saturday. But it looks GREAT can't stop looking at it and the feel is great also! For $135 cant got wrong.

Be darned if I can expand the pic to see the gap/lack of. You have me thinking now though...
Wow looks great! My auto **** was peeling and I brought it to the dealer and I said that it has sharp edges. They replaced it under warranty. I may still go this route after seeing your pics.
I got the shifter earlier this week along with the matching shift boot ring. I love how the shifter looks, I dyed the sticking black to match the sticking on the shift boot. For those wondering how it looks with the matching ring, the gap is gone, it fits directly on our original shift boot, and the shift boot is secured to the shifter without issues. After calling Courtesy Nissan, they don't sell the shift boot ring or the shift boot separately. You have to buy the whole top center console. Luckily I was able to get a center console for about $40 from a wreaked 2016 Maxima SV.
