Sensor rear of oil filter housing

So today when I was changing the front differential oil on my 2010 g37x. I went to unscrew the fill plug and the sensor that attaches to where the oil filter screws in was just dangling there. It looks like the plastic just got old and cracked off. My question is will this throw a code? Will the car enter limp mode? Not sure how long it has been this way, but don't want to get stuck somewhere.
Thanks.

Sounds like the oil pressure sender/sensor. If it doesn't read pressure the oil light will come on. I think if unplugged, you will not get the low oil light.
Post a pic just for confirmation.

It is the oil pressure light switch. I picked one up this am at Napa $15 part and will replace. Thanks.
