g37x coupe maintenance?
Hi guys,
I got my 2011 G37x coupe in April with 22,250K miles. Currently it has 25K miles. I see there is a sticker on the windshield for service at 25,300K miles.
What sort of maintenance should I do?
Oil change? (I'm guessing premium?)
Tire rotation?
Clean filters? (are there any better filters available than stock?)

Did your G have the full owners manual & maintenance log book in the trunk? If so, hopefully previous owner kept track of the services done. Also if it was serviced at an Infiniti dealer they should be able to look up any service based on your VIN (AFAIK).
If you can't find any specific service work records then oil/filter, tire rotation, and check your brake pad wear. Also the service reminders on the gauge cluster (behind the steering wheel) can tell you the intervals the previous owner was going with, or at the very least you can reset them to the intervals that you want to follow in the future.

Is it required of synthetic oil change for Infiniti vehicles? Is there anything better than synthetic?

I did check the service reminders on the gauge and I'm almost about to reach the threshold. I have not received any alerts yet but the screen shows I'm very close to it.

If you have no idea about the oil I'd change it ASAP w/ full synthetic, brand is up to you. I've had good oil analysis using Pennzoil Platinum. I also use the bigger V8 Infiniti filters, the V6 filters are dinky. I use a 2012 Infinti M56 to get the proper filter part #.
Some swear by the Nissan Ester oil, but you'll get excellent results w/ full synthetic from the major brands.
If you do go w/ full synthetic you can go 6-7,000 miles between changes. I go 6k miles.
If you plan to stick w/ changing oil every 3,000 miles regular non-synthetic oil is fine.

If you plan on keeping the car a long time, I'd consider doing a full fluid refresh.
- engine oil
- trans oil
- transfer case oil
- rear differential oil
- brake fluid flush
- coolant drain/fill
- inspect belt, replace if starting to crack
- replace all filters (2x engine and 1x cabin air).
- power steering fluid
Practically all of these are DYI if you're mechanically inclined. If not, expect to pay $$$ a shop to do it. Some of these services may not be needed, but better to be proactive with respect to maintenance than reactive.
