So I picked the car from the dealer and they said they couldn't replicate the issue. I am waiting to hear back today from the mechanic as he wasn't in the shop when I picked up the car last night. I am leaning towards they didn't do anything in terms of checking/cleaning the throttle body or fuel pump system etc.
did you get the problem fixed? my car stalled on me tonight upon starting it, this is like the third time it happening from summer until today.
Have you ever cleaned your thottle bodies? If not, it is fairly simple and likely the culprit. Here's a link the DIY and discussion on this topic.

Had this problem for +9 months. Would happen on and off, usually during the summer after driving long periods. Finally got the throttle bodies cleaned and guess what, no more problem. I'm 99.9% sure this has to do with cleaning the throttle bodies. It's not a recommended service procedure, so I paid a bit to have it done during my 75k maintenance. You can try getting this covered under warranty since it's a powertrain issue, but it was just easier for me to pay and be done with it.
