trying to get into a rwd sport sedan , found one at airport infiniti in cleveland got them down to 27491 on the price 12k miles blue slate stone/gray interior journey with nav and sport package 2012 CPO ... think is 25k a lowball offer ?
Make them itemize everything purchase price, any additional options, delivery charge, sales tax, any paper work fee, registration fee and sales tax so you get a final out the door price.
Then leave to think it over
Return the next day with a calculator in hand, paper, pen about a half hour
before closing time and start the negotiations again. Last day of the month is good. Christmas or New Years Eve is even better. So are nasty weather days.
When you finally get an out the door price you can live with only then do you bring up leasing. You should have an alternative credit line other than the dealer as a backup.
Good luck

Always start the negotiation as a purchase. Never initially tell them how you intend to pay.

I am a sales manager for a dealership and I do have to say this is the worse thing in the world to do, but he is correct. Following the steps of the sale is the best way to get what you want. Always come to the dealership with "OSF" out side financing. $25000ish is probably what they bough it for or if they took it in on trade they could of paid way less. If they have a good buyer or purchasing manager they might have gotten it at a really good price.
Look for it on the internet, internet price will be less than sticker price. if you need any help let me know I don't mind helping you out with what I can!
Good luck.
$25K is indeed lowball IMO. Somewhere between 25,900 - 26,500 = good deal. As per the Carfax dealer has only had it since 7/22, so probably not looking to drop their pants just yet.
End of month is sound advice - Aug 30 is also a Saturday, which is great for you. Good luck!

Seems low to me as well. I paid 28k for my 2012 G37xS nav with 17k miles ~2 months ago. Infiniti dealer wouldn't budge even when I was ready to go buy the same car at the Nissan dealership down the road lol. (I really hate that Nissan dealer though)
