Leather Cracking in door panel

Well the leather has started craking on my driver's side arm rest in the door, which is a little shocking since I normally clean and condition my leather about once every 2-3 months or so. Dropped her off at the dealership this morning to see what they could do....just got a call and long and behold my service rep has come thru once again and replacing it with a brand new one!

My chrome peice on my center arm rest has been peeling away for about the last 2 months now, so I asked if there was anything they could do with that and I was also told that would be replaced as well!

Typically cosmetic things aren't replaced under warranty but man or man do I LOVE my local dealer. Needless to say I'll be writing a nice email to my reps boss praising him.

These are fake leathers, only the seating surfaces are real leather.

My understanding is that they'll replace parts like that so as long as it wasn't caused by some sort of user damage.

Thanks for the heads up. I'm at 58k, so I'll be dropping my G off at the dealer for the same two issues tomorrow! I was just looking at picking up a 3M vinyl repair kit.

My service rep told me it was managers discretion on whether they replace cosmetic parts or not, needless to say I picked my babyup today and I am a very very happy camper! NO MORE GREESE SPOT on my center arm rest

I had the exact same problem. My dealer told me seems to be a common problem that the driver door arm rest only starts to tear and they just replace them since there seems to be a bad batch out there.

That IS indeed the case. I took mine in last week for service. After review from the service manager, the parts were ordered for replacement under warranty.
