Anybody using lithium ion battery for their G?

Nope. Why? Do you want to set yourself on fire like those new Boeing 787 Li-Ion-battery equipped aircraft did? LOL

Because they weigh less than 10 lbs. and have significant power and lifespans increases. Obviously the reason you aren't getting lots of replies is cost. The $500-2000 cost is quite large to save 45 lbs. Soon as the cost comes down, you better believe I'll be all over this.

 

I can't wait until Li ion battery to be at a more affordable price range

Once the screws start to get really turned on the mileage regulations they will be stock. The manufacturers will be looking for every ounce they can pull out of the car. Once they are stock, the manufacturing scale will drive prices down. Plus, the proliferation of hybrids has put the car manufacturers in bed with the battery companies. I am sure the battery companies are already trying to sell them.

 

Agreed but this change may take a few more years.
Will these batteries provide enough CCA to start a vehicle at zero degrees?
