The ark exhausts tips are most probably resonated so won't changing to a non resonated tip affect sound?

Those tips look more for domestic cars than a import, too thick. Slight Oval and 30 degree cut is the way to go for our cars though.

GT Haus Oval Split tips do look great

And the oval design integrates better with the OEM Bumper cut-out. Can't deny that.

I had the ARK and agree the tips are a lil much, but overall quality of the complete system is top notch. I actually feel like I've lost some horsepower since the switch to my Tanabe

ha I know what you mean, I wanted just the polished tips too but they said that the blue ones were the only way to get the X system

Whats wrong with burnt tips? =[

Tips are tips. All preference shrugs. But definitely agree that meisterschaft's tips are best designed for our sedans, especially as Rochester mentioned, for the cut-outs. Ark's, although amazing imo, are quite large, so combined with a drop is a recipe for scrapes.

Degrading them as teenager status or childish is like saying any color rim besides black or polished aluminum is childish. I mean, who puts bronze on a car anyways. ahem…

I've read here somewhere that the ARK exhaust hangs somewhat lower than others. That true, pdpMIATA?

OH yeah. I'll try not to exaggerate it THAT much, but they are a good inch or so bigger in overall size. I used to just barely clear my drive way with stock tips……now me so sad

Speaking of which, this week sparks the 1-year anniversary of having installed my exhaust! woohooo

Here was my original thread when I had them (and was a noob to this forum haha):

You can probably make the comparisons for yourself and see the large difference in diameter.

Tips? I thought it was the pipes or cans. Is that the issue for clearance, the gargantuan tips?

I don't see CO's or springs in your sig, so are you lowered or stock? You're still coming to the Meet-up at the end of the month, right? I've been interested in the ARK cat-back, so seeing and hearing your car is a fantastic opportunity for me.

Never had a problem with the pipes or cans. Clearance problems were the tips otherwise the rest of the set up is as normal as any other exhaust. And I am definitely coming down for the meet so I'll reserve you a ticket to drive my car haha.
