Ark exhaust

So I bought the ark exhaust with techno tip, thought it would look nice. But after installing it, the tip just looks like s**t. Is is possble to change the color of the tip? Like get it polished? I really like the exhaust note but the look kills it.

Maybe sand it off and buff it to a polished look?

Agreed. Those gigantic burnt-Ti tips look childish and tacky. So cut them off and weld on something more appealing.

This Magnaflow tip has the OEM oval styling, but is much, much better than OEM:

And this tip from Stainless Steel Works is kind of interesting, with a 30* slash, but a unique flat edge.

Well then Mr. John - what do you think of the FI catback tips?

I think they're a perfect balance between moderate OEM+ parts (similar to IPL tips) and not being obnoxious.

At the meet-up, one thing that's on my mind is comparing exhaust tips.

Geezus, that sounds creepy.

ANMVQ, you ought to come. There's another couple of guys coming out of Boston. Waltham is right on the way out.

Calm it down there, guy. Nothing creepy will be going down at this meet. Just a bunch of guys and their toys.... Oh wait that definitely sounds creepy...

Will these by any chance affect sound or performance? I really like the sound of my current exhaust.

Maybe if I decide to cut them off, I'll sell it to you, but did you see the techno tip in person? They look really bad.

Doubt it. They're not resonated.

Resonated tips have a perforated inner wall, just like an exhaust resonator.
