New Tanabes ran me $600 + shipping. If you're set on it and they aren't beat to hell then ****** them up. I personally like the sound of mine. They are modest but come alive when paired up to HFCs.

Thats a real nice dinner for two Rochester.^^^
$600? For the Tanabe axel back? I thought they were well under $500, and worth around the same.
Yes, it's a good deal. I love mine paired with hfc's... a HUGE difference in sound (I'm jonesing right now as I put the oem exhaust on for winter- can't wait for it to warm up and get my Tanabe's back on!).
ps. even my wife, who is not a gear head, loves the tanabe throatiness
Congrats. I want the Tanabe for my sedan as well. I want it to be just a little louder but not too noticeable. I also like the look of the Tanabe as well.
Got mine for $635.00 after shipping. They didn't produce a lot of noise until I put in the HFCs. They sound great now, nice and deep with a true growl.
