Anyways, decided to wrap my car in a 3M Matte Silver, M21.
and will do the roof and door mirrors and rear lower diffuser in carbon fiber.

Update 05/07/14

I put in a few hours today and got the trunk done.
First, i removed the trunk liner, there are a bunch of clips you have to pull out in order to get it off.
Once off, i wanted to take the chrome spoiler off, you will see 4 8mm nuts, takes those off and the spoiler will pop off.
I also took of the lights on the trunk to make the wrapping a little easier. (3x8mm nuts on each light. these was also double sided tape on my lights so i had to cut the tape to take them off)
I also wrapped the chrome spoiler in Carbon Fiber.
On a side note, i installed Tanabe Medallion axle back mufflers as well.
I wanted a slight improvement on sound and i think these are perfect for that, paired with my stillen gen 3 intakes, produces the right amount of sound.

Update 04/30/14
So i have been a little MIA in regards to my wrap.
I put in a few hours today and got the quarter panels done.
on the side with the gas cap, simply open the gas cap, remove the two screws holing it in and take the cap of. makes the install a whole easier.
Also had to take the roof weather strips off, simply pull up starting from the rear and it just clips off all the way down the windshield in the front.

Update 04/11/14
So i side tracked a little today and installed my subwoofer with a custom box and also installed my modded GTR Start button.
As for the amp location, it is temporary, i will be mounting it in place of the emergency kit.
Big thanks to @grojas112 for the modded GTR Button.
Also got the passenger side doors done as well.

Update 04/09/14
Got the Drivers side doors done.
Had to remove the Door handles to get it on in one piece.
I had seen a few videos of people cutting the wrap near the door handles and but then you would have a seam and i didnt want that..
so i went on search looking for ways to take of the door handles, i thought i would have to take off the panels and access it from there.
to my surprise, there is a little plastic tab on the side of the door, pull that open, you will see a torque screw, loosen it and the part of the door handle that take the key, will come off, remove the metal connector and it is loose, then pull the door handle towards the back of the car and it comes off as well.
for the front doors, you have to unplug the button to set it loose, for the back, it simply comes off.

Picture of the screw i was referring to

Here are some pictures of the LED's.
As i have mentioned, they are Switchbacks and i have them connected to come on with my parking lights.
as you will see in the pictures, one of the 5 LED's on the left stopped working, i am in the process of getting it replaced.
They also have a third wire that you can connect to make them flash rapidly, i will be connecting it to a switch soon so i can use it at car shows.

Update 03/27/14
As promised,
i got some hours on the wrap yesterday,
i redid the bumper as i was not happy with my first attempt.
and did the hood!

I am going to be doing a two tone, Matte silver accented with Carbon Fiber,
the roof, mirrors, trunk lip(chrome part) and rear diffuser will be carbon fiber,
since front lips are hard to come about for my model, i decided to add carbon fiber to the front bumper!

In for updates, something I've been thinking about doing for awhile so I may ask for a few specifics down the road if you don't mind. Thanks for starting this thread as I think it could really be useful for others wanting to do this

BTW, have you wrapped cars before? Looks like a nice job on the bumper, and that should be the hardest part to wrap.

In for updates as well. I'm definitely interested in doing this to my G and wanted to do it myself. Have you done anything like this before?

I'm decently skilled at tinting windows so I'm assuming those skills would come in handy here.

Thanks for the interest guys....
I have wrapped roofs before, not the whole body, first time, but have done tint as well.
similar concept, wrap is more flexible than tint, as you can stretch it a lot more, but the whole process is very time consuming.

I got the 3M M21 Automotive wrap which cost me $500, would have been less, but i got some extra since this is my first time and figured cant go wrong with a little extra incase i have to redo some parts.

If you take it to professionals, it does run anywhere from 2K and up. You are paying mainly for labor.

Are you using a heat gun for application? Does that activate the adhesive on the wrap?

yes i am using a heat gun,
try to use one that you can control the temperature,

Thats the advantage of Using good quality wrap, as it is heat activated.
I have used some cheaper ones in the past for roofs, and with that, i have had to spray soapy water under the wrap to be able to navigate it the way i want.

Good to know! All this information is incredibly helpful. You mentioned a controllable heat gun - what temperature works best for shaping the 3M film?

You're awesome. That'd be great info to have. I'm sure it could be figured out rather easily.

For pieces like your hood, how far are you wrapping the one under hood?

i would be scared to screw things up. but when you say time consuming.. what exactly takes time? im assuming the bumper is the hardest part but everything else? roughly per panel whats the time frame on it?
