WTF... Trunk Gap?!

This has been bothering me. I bought my car new in September 2013 with 3k miles on the odometer right now.

I just noticed that the trunk lid is not properly aligned to the quarter panel. In other words, there is a larger gap on the right side than the left side. In fact, the gap on the right side is about double the gap of the left when the lid is closed. The gap is definitely noticeable. WTF?!

Anyone experience this problem on their new car? How do I fix this?

You can probably easily fix it yourself or take it to the dealership to be adjusted. Loosen the bolts holding the trunk lid and move it slightly until it's aligned.

Yep, mines off. So is my wife's fx hatch. I've inspected the dealer's inventory of G's and Fx's, and the gaps vary quite a bit.

Think carefully though before you have the dealer adjust anything, as it is a finesse job.

Yes, exactly the reason why I am hesitating on this. I guess I can suck it up and live with it.
