Exclamation Well... my G37 experience was short lived. Flash flood

I can't believe this. we haven't even made the first payment on it yet

The whole COMMUNITY is flash flooded

the WHOLE COMMUNITY

I can't believe this. I'm soooo sad right now.

I have GEICO and I hope to god the car is considered a total loss. there is no way this car will be like how it was few hours ago

the rain hasn't stopped and it's been an hour since I took this picture

I've been reading on the net that GEICO will usually try to fix the damage and give the car back to you. If they fix this and give it back, I'm not sure what I'll do

Sorry to see that. Good luck with the repair/replacement of the car.

Where do you live - is your area prone to flooding like this?

It's south FL. We get flash floods, but in 13 years I have never seen one like this.

Wife's boss is mad because she can't make it to work today. she said get a cab and come to work I need you. We can't even leave the community....

Thats pretty sad. I'd be depressed too. Stay positive, that doesn't look "fixable". The interior is going to be severely damaged.

Yeah we'll see what Geico says those bastards will give me a hard time I bet. I'm gonna take it to coconut creek infiniti have them look at it. Hopefully they'll argue with the adjuster.

Geico is too big for me to fight. so we shall see

Hopefully GEICO will do the right thing but what does your contract say about flood damage? If they don't you can report it to the Florida Dept of Insurance (or whatever your state regulatory agency is called). You also have the option of escalating it to a Bad Faith Claim which really ticks off insurers.

I'm very sorry bro. That is heart breaking.

At least you and your family are ok.

Hopefully they will call it a total loss. Flooded vehicles almost always have problems down the road.

Hang in there OP.

You might get lucky. We had very very VERY bad rainstorm in our area about 2 years ago and there was a lower area where people parked for Metrobus pickup spot. Over 100 cars were completely under water and about 200 like yours. A coworker of mine had flood damage to his 2009 IS350 and GEICO wrote his car as a total loss. I'm praying they work in your favor.

Hope you and your wife are safe through it all.

Holy crap, not a good way for a the G to out. Hopefully they do the right thing and don't mess around with trying to restore the car to a pre-flood damaged state. Keep us updated.
