Still snowed in

Haven't driven my car since Monday. First real snow in Charlotte in years. Shoveled my driveway so I can hopefully take her out tomorrow.

I'm leaning towards the Gen2 Fast Intentions cat-back. Gonna skip the HFC and headers as I hate the VQ sound with them. Think I'll get the UpRev tune once I have the CBE. Thoughts?

What he said. Though I have the FI RHFCs and haven't noticed a negative change in the sound. To me anyway.

I'm waiting for the exhaust to ship now.

There was a thread just recently that discussed an alternative to UpRev.

I'm really tossed up on the RHFC. Some YouTube vids I like others I don't.

How long was your wait?

It's worth the wait. I noticed a slightly lower, more throaty tone when paired with the OE exhaust. I can only imagine what it's going to sound like once it's paired with a full FI CBE.

EcuTek - I've discussed this with a few tuners around here and they really like the capabilities with EcuTek.

RHFC is almost unnoticeable in sound change so no "bad VQ sound"

i know question wasn't directed to me but my wait was about 2 months. I live in the caribbean though.

FI Rhfc + a y-pipe (top speed) on top of my top speed mid back made a big difference in sound. Definitely significantly louder, and - subjectively, of course - throatier. With my Stillen gen 3s, I'd say I'm slightly on the wrong side of the obnoxious (and/or immature,) scale, but I do love the combo.

That's the name... ECUTek. I made note of it elsewhere, glad you found what you needed. Sure seems promising, doesn't it?

My cats took 6 weeks from order to delivery, Robert. I can't speak yet to whether they're worth the cost and wait yet, but I did a whole lot of patient research, and feel pretty confident about it. Unlike Alfredo here, I'm rather expecting to feel keenly receptive to the changes in tone and grunt, when paired to the OEM catback.

It's going to be another month yet before I schedule the install. Unless I'm disappointed, I'll likely talk about it for a while. Probably too much, LOL

Looks like they answered already, I think my wait was about six weeks as well. But it's doubled now since I'm waiting for the CBE. Ideally I would have done both at the same time but spacing it out helped financially.

I'm looking at ECUtek also. Might just mean a road trip to CT but I would like to talk to John a bit more about pricing etc. I'll wait until the maps are out in any case. It sounds like there is definitely something to be said for the tuner in addition to the tune. John seems to be doing some pretty darn slick work from what I'm seeing.

My concern is I don't want the car too loud/drone since it is my baby hauler.

I can understand that. I have zero drone right now. I've kept my foot out if it lately to see what my mileage is looking like and it doesn't sound much different than stock to me. Once the CBE goes on that may change I'll grant you.

I may go ahead and get a GoPro before the install of the CBE. If I do I'll be able to get some decent videos I hope.
