My wife and I usually discuss purchases before we make them. The exception was a X-mas gift I bought her in Nassau a few months ago. 3.5K diamond white gold ring she had been oogling over, when we were on a port of call while on vacation..... You would think she would ease up about the modding a bit. No such luck. Now its a boob / butt job she's wanting. Been married 3.5 years..... Does it ever end, longtimers?
Going on 6 years so not a longtimer yet but no, it doesn't end. I do the same thing you did though. I will randomly buy her something and then a month later try and buy something for the car and it will be a good debate, lol. She has caught onto my schemes though. Now when I give her something new she asks me "what is it that you want now?" LOL
Sounds to me like she's in to modding... just a different type of modding. That should be your argument.
This really made me laugh, thanks
Damn, been married longer than some of you have been alive (25yrs.)
It's all give & take, and as long as she's happy that's half the battle.
Luckily we've got so much in common.
And as far as gambling, sure poker's gambling, but if you've got a decent edge against your fellow players it's much easier to be playing on "house money"

Happy wife, happy life!

That's what they say. I've been leasing myself, a couple long term, couple shorter term. That way I can always get the new model when it really catches my eye. (Or because they just can't stand me any longer, you decide)
It's 19* outside with ~3/4 inch of snow of the ground. A far cry from the 3"+ being predicted. Schools are closed, and me and my summer tire shod G37 are working from home this morning.
As an added bonus, our nanny called in sick, so I doubt there will be much "working" from home with the kiddos, age 2.5 and 3 months
