Very interested in the HFC-first approach. I would like a bit louder exhaust but most interested in eeking out a few more hp. So ... do any of you running HFC's have state emission tests on a dyno, and do they pass okay? Here in Colorado we have a visual inspection (they use a long handled mirror to look for the cats) and then take emissions reading on the dyno.

Here in NY it's just a OBDC reading and a visual inspection. No tailpipe sniffer.

Try this one Carbon Fiber Element

Navigate to the G37 gallery. There are some modded steering wheels available and I think you can still have him build you one if you want specific colors etc.

Not sure where that pic is from. Looks like the one I saw on eBay for about $950 but I'm not saying it is. Just looks similar.

I like it but if I go that route I would go through CFE with the intent of having the CF match the other trim if/when I decide to have that done. For now I'm planning on an exhaust next I do believe.

How was the fitment? Any issues?
No issues, everything fit perfect. Took me about 45 minutes to get the old one out and the new one in.

I'm very happy I scored this for $200

bingo, that's the one. I emailed back and forth with the seller a few times, took a leap of faith (and TOFTT,) and ordered it.

I looked at access evolution (not really worth the 300-400 premium - I couldn't care less about jdm cred, as my car is a driver, not a show car,) CFE (design too simple,) and IGT (my first choice, but apparently out of business?!)

FWIW, I presently have a dallas customs wheel with 1/8" extra padding. Feels like an //M wheel, and I do love it, but I love these crazily sculpted ones even more. Selling that one soon!
