We're good to go, in as far as decisions and (emotional) commitment. Just need to finalize the details, and gather the funds.

Feeling really good about it, too.
Congrats!

Finally got around to installing a couple Christmas presents. LED backup lights turned out great, and should make backing up my driveway and into the garage a little easier at night.

Fog light bulbs were not as successful. Wifey got me coupe H1 bulbs instead of sedan H8. At least she tried

Wow, you're a lucky man. My wife hates my modding. She'll never buy an auto part.

Aw, sorry to hear that. My wife tolerates it, as long as I spread things out over total ownership (which I do), and I declare my budget plans well ahead of time (which I also do). When it comes to sharing in the whole hobby thing, though, she doesn't get it. Just kind of smiles and nods.

Most mods on the car she wouldn't know otherwise unless I pointed it out to her. And even then, sometimes.

I shouldn't paint such a negative picture, because she tolerates my indulgences. I try to keep her abreast on my plans and ideas. I know that she doesn't like it though. It's my hobby, what can I say? It just happens to be a costly hobby @ times. I'm about done with modding the car. Uprev tune, and a new engine cover are really the only things left. My wish list has a new front bumper and CF lip for it. Other than what's mentioned, I'm pretty satisfied.

My wife is pretty good with me modding, although I don't think she would be happy if I took it to the same level as with my Subaru. Granted she bought me the top mount intercooler, but that, down pipe, tuning, issues with tuning kinda got to her, mostly because I was upset about it.

I have an old f-body that I'm free to do whatever I want with though

As I've explained before... A lot of my money went into my, now sold, Z and a little into the G. While my wife doesn't comprehend spending money to mod a car she accepts it. I don't smoke, drink, do drugs, go to bars/clubs, or even to the late night street races. Since selling my Z I have picked up the hobby of firearms. I tell her everything, ok 95-98%, I purchase and we discuss large purchases together. She like high-end clothes and furniture, I like my cars & guns. In a marriage it is a give-take and the biggest thing in communication and support with each other.

1994 Pontiac Firehawk, basically a ram air car from before Pontiac introduced the WS6 option on the 4th gen cars. It is #251 of 500, 6-speed, red on black, t-tops, 55,000 miles.

Full bolt ons, dyno tuned, konis, etc.

Fun car to drive around in on a nice day. Terrible car to try and daily drive.

I also don't smoke tobacco. Everything else is addressed on a rare case-by-case basis... but mostly that's all behind me, too. Because old.

My wife's been really good about car mods, as long as I don't dump too much on her at once that is. She's also cool w/ my poker games, as long as I'm not risking the mortgage it's all good

Long story short... I was stationed in Italy, just engaged to my wife and we where getting ready to buy our first new car; 2002 BMW 325i sedan. Well I got deployed to Bratislava, Slovakia for three, four weeks. The money earned on the deployment was going to be added to the car's down payment. While in Bratislava myself and fellow fire fighters found a nice underground casino. Yeap... Came home and had to tell her I lost all the extra deployment money and we could no longer buy the car. Made a promise to her I would never gamble again. And I've kept it other than when WE went to Vegas and we budgeted $1,000 to gambling only. Ended up making $500 while I was there. But since than I have never gambled on anything.

My wife and I usually discuss purchases before we make them. The exception was a X-mas gift I bought her in Nassau a few months ago. 3.5K diamond white gold ring she had been oogling over, when we were on a port of call while on vacation..... You would think she would ease up about the modding a bit. No such luck. Now its a boob / butt job she's wanting. Been married 3.5 years..... Does it ever end, longtimers?
