+1 on that. LOL

When I pick my son up from middle school a small crown of his friends gather and stare and nudge each other in the ribs...

Shame you can't play with the throttle without lurching around or putting the car in Park.

What you hiding over there? Hopefully test pipes, because I'd like to hear your feedback paired with that catback.

I knew it! You're popping that car in an out of neutral, aren't you? Just so that you can play with the exhaust note. Hahaha

And I suspect you're driving it more often in manual mode, or whatever you do with that 7AT where you choose the shift-points with the flappy paddles or the console shifter. We used to call that a slap-shifter.

You know, I should have let you drive my car last summer. It didn't occur to me, and you didn't ask.

Sooo it's almost March, and that means it's almost time for me to purchase my high flow cats. I've narrowed my choices down to the Z1 HFC and Fast Intentions(either res or non res)

They both have their pros/cons, the Z1 HFC have the extra mounting bracket for added support and the FI have the extended O2 bungs. Decisions, decisions.

I'm weighing the same options, and I think z1 is the way to go (assuming you don't HAVE to have them resonated). You can add 02 spacers, but you can't (easily) add the brackets. I don't want to deal with strain issues from not having the brackets. And at the price point for FI cats, not having the bracket is criminal.

It's a tough decision. I definitely plan on getting a tune once I've done more to my car, but for now I just want some HFC that won't throw a CEL.

When I had my Genesis sedan, the main screen would take a minute or so to boot up when it got down that cold, and all kinds of weird electrical oddities for the first bit. Always started, though.

Most cars won't throw a CEL with HFCs. If yours does, add these after the fact in all of 10 or 20 minutes.
straight o2 spacer
or
90 degree o2 spacer, if you need it for clearance issues.

some of the displays use a ccfl backlight, and if its cold enough they just won't even turn on until it gets warm enough.

So i pwned a Roush RS Mustang last night. I posted a thread with a video but just found out we are not allowed to talk about racing. There should be a dedicated racing and track sub-forum.
